Rocky Road to Kerry

Just returned wrecked and dishevelled from a blipmeet in Kerry! To get to Kerry you have to go through tunnels and once on the other side the scenery changes dramatically. Huge mountains, lush greeness, dotty sheep and rolling swirling rain laden clouds. The road is small and winding with severely distracting views - when you can see them. The weather was not looking terrifically promising.
We rendezvoused at Molly Gallivans - a bit Oirish but very nicely done- and had copious cups of coffee while it lashed outside. Some people were just wearing sandals - you know who you are! Once it had eased slightly we did their farm walk then headed off to Bonane Heritage Park where we walked, blipped and admired the leprechaun rock art! The greenery was unbelievable, so verdant.
On the way home Himself thought it a good idea to take the very rocky road to Barley Lake which we'd never done before. The road was torturous and I was driving but we made it to the top, and battled the wind to look down on the lake. Pretty impressive, and pretty wild, I nearly took off. A 99 was needed in Glengariff.
