Beautiful day
Me & The Wife have had a lovely day today.
Drove down towards the barriers with the intention of visiting Minehowe & Longhowe chambers but they were closed to visitors :( On the way we stopped to walk the doggers at Rerwick - A lovely coastal walk. Once again the sea was flat and crystal clear and the skies were blue with dramatic clouds dotted here and there. This shot was taken just as we started our walkies.
We then drove down the barriers, soaking up the views. We were headed towards Hoxa Head when we stumbled across a line of telegraph poles carrying overhead power lines. One of the poles was on fire so we popped into the nearby house to let them know.
At Hoxa Head we had more cliff walking and a poke around lots of old gun emplacements and military buildings.
It has been a perfect day and the dogs are shattered from being out and about all day.
On the way back past the burning pole there were now police, fire engine and a power service van. Good deed done.
Now for roast lamb shanks. Maybe a glass of wine too. PW....I absolutely adore you.
