A Great Day Out
Today, while other members of the family were golfing and birthday partying, Eldest and I decided to have a day out. He is studying coastlines in geography at GCSE so we decided to visit the areas that were being featured in his next piece of coursework..Flamborough Head and Bempton Cliffs. I had never been to either and am now in love with both. We walked along the clifftop and then down to the beach at Flamborough. We also had a guided tour of the working lighthouse. After lunch we went to Bempton Cliff bird reserve, known for it's breeding seabirds on the cliffs. We saw a variety of Gulls, Guillemots, Rasorbills, Shags and Gannets. Alas no Puffins, which are known to breed there too.
I was spoilt for blip choice, but this Gannet collecting nest building material was my favourite.
