The snow still lies deep around the Standing Stones of Orwell near Loch Leven. Various sites on the internet tell me the megaliths mark prehistoric cremation sites dating from 2000 B.C. They towered over me.

As I hobbled around in the snow I saw a skier coming off the Lomond hills in the background. My back is improving but probably not in time before the snow melts.
