Chicken Gaol

This is Ghost, one of our three little chickens. Yesterday she sat in the nest box all day and refused to budge. A quick look at the nest box showed her plucking out her feathers to line the nest.... Yep, she'd gone broody. Since we don't have any fertile eggs for her to sit on, being broody isn't very helpful. So today she got moved to wire mesh box to cool her down naturally which should hopefully stop her being broody. She was not impressed and has been making determined cluck cluck cluck noises at us all day. But seems she was quite hungry and did appreciate some time to eat without hassle from the others
