Poundbury, Dorchester
Had the privilege of travelling to Poundbury, Dorchester today to see the work of Irene Froy - she produces the most delicate pastel photographs. It was a most enjoyable day out and although she spoke for over 4 hours my brain went into overload by lunchtime! She worked through some of her techniques and her attention to detail is astounding. Now I know why my photos are as they are and hers do so well!
Poundbury, what we saw of it seems the most 'sterile' of places. Not much life there today apart from us photographers! Still lots of building going on too so it expands. Did not get a good look around but from first impression not too sure I'd want to live there. The meeting was held in the Brownsword Hall and these lovely wall hangings were displayed on one wall.
