Coming up roses

Got home this morning - good to be back, but feeling a bit worn out and I've picked up a bad cold over the last couple of days. I didn't feel like venturing out and about very far, so I resorted to the garden for my blip.

This rose has been blooming for a while, and I love the range of rich, warm colours in its flowers. It puts me in mind of how smouldering embers glow in a dying fire.
