Sparrows (just for a change)

It's been another beautiful day here, apart from a brief time when I could hear thunder in the distance, the air felt heavy, the wind picked up and the sky darkened, a few heavy raindrops fell. Then it came, a heavy down pour.
It didn't last long.
Early morning the rooks were up to mischief at the feeding stations in my garden, their dining habits appear to be akin to dining at a medieval banquet.
Which although it does make them appear to be greedy, most of it is scattered, leaving plenty for the other birds :-)
And they came too, sparrows, starlings, black birds, pigeons in numbers I've never seen here before.
The air awash with bird song
