Besties

Today was Field Day. At the new school, they don't compete within their classes. They split the kids into four random colors. As the kids do their events, they earn points for their color team. Both Evan and Owen were blue. Our awesome neighbor came over this morning and sprayed their hair.

Jim went camping with Mia and his mom, so I to spend the whole day at school with the boys. I took this photo of Evan with his besties during recess. At the end of the day there is a ceremony where individuals get ribbons for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in their events and all the kids in the color team with the most points get a ribbon. Blue team came in 2nd, but Owen received a blue ribbon for the softball throw, a red ribbon for 200 meter run, and white ribbon for standing long jump. Evan won red ribbons for the running long jump, 200 meter run, and softball throw. He also won a white ribbon for the 50 yard dash.
