War of the Elements

I think Summer and Winter are at war over who controls the weather during this part of the year.

Summer is fighting away for the brighter days and the warmer weather while Winter is only managing to fight back with the raindrops we've seen alot of in the UK lately.

I think traditionally we've had Summer owning this piece of time, yet in more recent years we have also seen alot of Winter make an appearance and destroy the year. Is winter monopolising the year here in Scotland?
