Visit to the docks

Went to get groceries with the boys this morning. Quite depressed by the bill actually. It seems you get less and less with the same amount of money.

Stopped by the docks to watch the Coast Guard assist a small sailboat. I'm not sure what the trouble was, but he was safe.

The boys and I walked down to check out the small beach by some old docks that have fallen apart. We found lots of neat things.

They found a strange concrete tunnel that leads back into the ground under the road. It was big enough for me to fit in, so the boys wanted to go. The answer to that was "Nope!" Very creepy place with barnacles and green slime. Who knows what flows out of there or lives in there!

Caught this shot and enjoyed the contrast of the rusty ring amongst the green, slimy seaweed. The water looks white because the sky is white with cloud cover and fog. I missed the sun's 30 minutes of fame this morning.
