Main act: Jan Smit

Pinksterfeesten, part II.

As mentioned in yesterdays blip, my town Delfzijl (NL) is full of festivities during these days. Today is the final day and it's a yearly tradition that there is a big party on the beach and the dike. Well, this year is no exeption.

The weather is great (though rain and storm threatened during the afternoon..in the rest of the Netherlands there is a weatheralarm code orange and red going on...), the music is loud and both beach and dike are fully packed with people.

Several artists came on stage, such as rapper Yes-R, coverband Melrose and a few partybands such as Cooldown Café and Feestteam. But the artist everybody was waiting for was Jan Smit (from Volendam). He came on at 17.00pm and made the crowd go crazy.

It was a great afternoon in a great town!
