At 1.15pm Bethan and Jason got hitched here in the beautiful Banqueting Hall of The Alverton, Truro ..........at last!! As you know they should have been married here in January but only three days before the first planned wedding a fire broke out in the banqueting hall started by an electical fault behind one of the panels which caused a major fire and considerable damage to this beautifully vaulted roof. Today there wasn't a trace of what had gone before apart from a little dark water mark to be seen on the left hand side foreground of the ceiling and a little bit of re-pointing of the brick work.

The second attempt at the wedding went like clockwork and it has been a wonderful day for everyone. The weather was kind, Beth looked more than beautiful, the venue magnificent, the food delicious, the champagne bubbly, the service poignant and the speeches hilarious: the best man brought a fire extinguisher along .... but didn't have to use it!!

CONGRATULATIONS Beth & Jay - have a long and very happy life together.
