A bird's eye view
After an exciting and whirwind adventure in the Bay Area, today I flew home.
It was definitely a weekend of firsts:
First egg in a cocktail.
First taste of oyster's on the half shell.
First time in Oakland.
First time catching a guy in the act of car burgarly.
First time on the subway!
Andy dropped me off at the Merritt Lake BART station and I navigated my way all the way to SFO! I was quite proud of myself as it did include a transfer. I got through airport security and to the gate with all of ten minutes to spare. Whew!
It was a good feeling seeing my neighborhood from the window of the plane as we decended into SAN. The Bay Area is definitely an exciting place but you know what they say, home is where the heart is!
Not only that but I was dying to see the sun and get warm. I definitely did not bring appropriate winter clothing with me on the trip (I'm not sure that I actually OWN any appropriate winter clothing) and I felt chilled to the bone the entire time.
Tonight I'm headed to bed early. I'm flat out exhausted! And it should be an interesting week . . .
