Baby Knowles

I can't believe it, but today was the first day we saw our baby. The little heart was beating away and that little nugget was moving all around. It wasn't real, it looked so incredibly human. Granted it still has a giant alien head, but the little arms and legs were kicking all around and we could even see little hands and feet. I think I am going to be in denial for awhile still, but it was relieving to know that everything was going well in there. We have heard of so many friends that have been dealing with infertility or miscarriage that we were very guarded from the beginning that this one was going to work out. But at 12 weeks the percentage of miscarriage drops to less than 1%. So if we are going to play the numbers, we need to be planning our lives with a little tagalong come December. The due date is December 16,2014 which feels like an eternity from now. We are currently listening to "schools out for summer" and planning beach trips and pool parties. Christmas time feels so far away, but it does take awhile to cook a human well done. And we aren't in a rush little one, cook away, your mama and daddy will be here whenever you think you're ready to come hang out with us. We love you little nugget!
