Mono Monday Mailbox
As Sefferdog writes...just a row of mailboxes. OR...is it?
23 years ago, (before the post office got right-hand drive vehicles) some of our routes were delivered out of a car. That meant...in order to reach the mailbox through the passenger window...that you had to straddle the seat, and had to use your left hand to steer, and your left foot to brake. (That's how it was supposed to work.)
One day I came out of the scary trailer park that is in the background...made the right hand turn...and...and...hit the accelerator instead of the brake. Oops!
I took out both poles, and all 6 mailboxes, but I did get out and put the peoples mail in the downed boxes. The next day (it was before cell phones), our poor janitor Artie had to go out and repair my damage, and the carrier's car had to be fixed.
Could you say I did a mow...of the row?
Could you say it was not good...what I did to the wood?
Could you say I did a number...on the lumber?
Good thing the garbage wasn't out that day. I would have nailed that, too.
Thanks to rainie for hosting.
