Olympics Over Friday Harbor

Today we left Parks Bay, directly across from Friday Harbor. We decided to go the "unusual" way home, south to Cattle Point, then around the west side of the island, and home to Roche Harbor.

It really was a beautiful trip and we hoped to see whales....which we didn't! But...we saw views of the Olympics which were amazing, and so unexpected.

At the south tip of the island, which is Cattle Point, we saw the lighthouse we have visited on land several times, and got to view the cormorant nests...so interesting! Then it was up to Lime Kiln Lighthouse...one of our favorite spots. It was very quiet...we saw few boats, and no whales, but it was a perfect trip.
