Souvenirs from Burma and 200 blips
Astroman and I returned from our trip to Burma on Sunday. I have backblipped my photos from the trip, please take a look if you like:

In today's photo you can see some souvenirs I brought with me from Burma. In the Burmese culture owls are believed to bring good luck. The newspaper is the mouthpiece of the military junta ruling the country. You can see yourselves what they stand for.
I felt divided about travelling to Myanmar because part of the money tourists spend there end up in the hands of the junta anyway. However, the local people seemed to be happy to see foreigners visiting their country. It is supposed to be an election year but many locals were not very optimistic that there would be any change for the better in the near future.
And last but not least, I have finally reached the milestone of 200 blips. Thank you to all fellow blippers for looking at my pictures and commenting on them!
