Sleeping beauty

Well almost a year to the dayand here we are again on the paediatric day surgery unit for Ollie to have a third myringoplasty. He first had the left ear done two years ago (followed by the right one last year) and initially it all seemed good but a small hole was discovered when we had a follow up last autumn so a further op was needed. We have put it off until the end of the rugby season as he can't play any contact sports for a couple of months after the op!

He seems to be doing ok so far. He's been back from theatre about two hours now. It's hot and sticky here on the ward and I'm hoping we will be released very soon so I can get a couple of hours in the garden!
