Recording the Past @WhinhillPS

You might remember back at the end of March we Blipped a pic from a pop-up Absent Voices exhibition in The Beacon Arts Centre in Greenock.
In it, we showed singers Kevin McDermott and Yvonne Lyon, supporting pupils from Whinhill PS as they sang their Swanky Docker song.
Well, today, Yvonne was back at Whinhill PS to record P5/6 singing their self penned songs about the sugar industry as part of their mullti-disciplinary art project for Absent Voices.
They were joined by David Lyon who has arranged the songs and Sandy Jones of The Foundry Music Lab.
Yvonne says she was the 'one contravening all health and safety and flinging my arms about like a crazy woman!'
Yvonne adds: "The Swanky Docker seemed to be the firm favourite with Isa's Lament close second! It's shaping up to be a beautiful wee EP!"
We cannot wait to hear it!!
