Orchid fields

Day 4 in Armenia. The Selim Pass is part of the ancient Silk Road. After visiting the Caravanserai just below the 2,400m summit, a 14th century stop-over point for travelling merchants and their animals, we stopped for lunch alongside these spectacular marshy fields. They were full of Marsh Orchids and Bird's-eye Primrose with many other botanical gems to be found nearby.
