These guys hardly gave me time to turn the camera on and they were already over the side and into the water... I did get the second one!

Very dangerous game playing in the old canals. There are plenty of markers along the way to testify to the fact... You need to know very well where the various ports are to carry the water to the fields and also the currents to escape to the walls. The water is very fast moving this time of year with the snow melt in the mountains. Let's not even talk about the locks and various Edison hydro power plants at various sections with big suction inlets. A ready nightmare if you are like me and dwell on such things...

In any case, I bet the water felt fabulous judging by the grins on these cool guys... It is so hot here today. I took the mountain bike along the usual canal trail and Adda River coming down from Lake Lecco for a long lunch break today. >34° C and +30 km's!! I must have a bit of sun on the head to have even thought about going for a ride in these temperatures and at midday... It must have been 5 to 10 degrees cooler by the river and in the shade. Such a scorcher today!
