The Old Gates

I took a trip to Cuerden Valley early this afternoon and spotted this pair of wrought Iron gates which were once probably the main entrance to the hall.

In the field behind were the cattle grazing but after the storms and rain that we were to experience later, and are still experiencing, I expect the cattle are very much lying down by now or taking shelter.
