Islands Cruise

28 Degrees at 08.00 this morning which crept up to 35 later, phew!

We were picked up by coach at 08.00 this morning to go to Port Gruz at Dubrovnik for our islands cruise on the replica galleon, Tirena. Visited the only three inhabited islands of the 13 which make up the Elafiti Islands. Very pretty but not much there apart from the last one, Lupod. Had lunch on the boat, hake with salad, bread, water and wine.

Visited the sandy beach (most are pebbles or shingle which are hard to walk on) and because it was a long walk away and we didn't have that long there plus the high temperature, we got a lift on a golf buggy (taxi) which took us there.

We couldn't walk on the sand as it was so hot so waded through the water. M went for a swim and I almost did - got as far as my waist but the fish got bigger the further I went out so just couldn't do it!

Got back to the hotel at 18.45. After shower etc, went down to dinner and for our usual coffee at Mihael's along the front. Still hot and it's 22.00!
