Oh to be in England...........

With apologies to Robert Browning for the slight adaptation of his poem -

Oh to be in England
Now that June is here........

Where else would anyone want to be?

This dog rose is an intrinsic part of the English hedgerows in early summer. I have never seen so many roses as have blossomed this year. With many other splendid flowers such as red campion, foxgloves, mallow, meadow sweet, the hedgerows are absolutely glorious this year.
