logical.....illogical ??
It has been a very sad day today.
One of my work colleagues a very courageous and inspirational lady sadly passed away. She had been ill, and had a stroke last year, but she was getting so much better, I am quite devastated , she was only in her mid 50's (younger than me ) and so lovely...life is just SO unfair.
In light of this, I just couldn't be bothered to go blip hunting after work. so I am afraid today's blip offering is a moth I caught in my moth trap.
I have always felt moths have wonderfully descriptive common names, such as Blackneck and large yellow underwing, and even the Ruddy highflyer! which sounds like the one that got away!!
This lovely moth also has a very descriptive name, Bright line, brown eye, which exactly what the wing pattern is, a bright line, with a brown eye (spot).
The Bright line brown eye Lacanobia oleracea, is a common moth found across the UK , with a wing span of 32 - 37 mm, flying from May to July.
I hope tomorrow is better,
