The closest we get to hummingbirds in Europe

I was pleased with this. It is actually a hummingbird -and they do dart around at a bout 100 mph without stopping much. I fired off plenty of shots and this was the best. Even then the wings - which are normally just a blur - are not quite in focus. The eye and the proboscis however are sharp which gives it some real character.
Today was St Melany market - a great little market with about seven stalls. I came away with two courgettes, four cailettes, six eggs, two rounds of goat's cheese and a loaf of bread. The important things. Sadly no cheap plastic toys on offer....
