From Clachan Sands
Many Thankyous for all your comments about yesterdays blip . In the Spotlight for the very first time this amateur blipper !
Thunderstorms , sunshine and foreboding skies most of the day.
We have been coming to this place for a long number of years. Me since I was 6 years old with my parents - Jay since he was 10 years old with his Dad .
My Grandparents lived in Grimsay - They died long before I was born and had no direct influence on my life.
But this is their legacy to me and to my children & grandchildren. I hope they all benefit from the beauty and cultural heritage of these Hebridean Islands long after I am gone.
Today we saw these flowers :-
Ladies Bedstraw
Carpets of yellow heartsease - ( wild pansies)
A red orchid
Yellow irises
Red poppies
Bird's Foot Trefoil
Tormentil
Silver Weed
Wild roses
White clover
Red Clover ( at Carinish )
Beautiful water lilies at Grimsay
with buttercups & daisies everywhere !
Grateful for the day.
