Cockles and mussels

This is David. He is a Scottish Traveller and has spent his life caring for others. A good man with great stories. One of the best.
A couple of weeks ago I was taking a photo of Connel Bridge and David pulled up in the bumpy layby for a chat. I'd suggested a photo that day but David wasn't up for it as had been gardening all day and didn't feel like it... Today he suggested I take his photo. So I did. Wish the notice board hadn't been behind him but smile sums him up. The chat today was all about picking cockles.
