Grow your own

Our class and staff grew these peas, and today staff had a fresh pea with our mid morning break. Sweet as the sunshine that nurtured them, juicy as the rain... It's a noisy shot because I didn't have a grey mat, so I used a speech therapist's clipboard which turned out to have micro-specks on it.

I'm still tired this week. Think it's because I am putting off desk tidying because there are Important Things To Be Dealt With on it, and I am Not In The Mood! CleanSteve and I went up on Minchinhampton Common to recce a picnic spot. It was windy, but CS spent ages photographing cows. We did not go for ice cream at the famous Winstone's factory parlour, because we needed tea instead, and I need to save my pennies for climbing, or buying climbing shoes. Healthier, though shoes taste rubbish!

At work we have a sweepstake for the world cup. I picked Cote D'Ivoire. You never know....

Back at home, someone called me from a Social Research company to ask my political opinions. Stroud is a key marginal seat. I was a bit cheesed off that they asked a lot of questions about UKIP, but I was not allowed to mention the Green Party. Green Issues are taken seriously here. But some local people are turning to UKIP out of frustration over issues such as sheltered housing. Hmmmm.

In other news, I am continually hungry today. Not drinking alcohol on weeknights is something I am finding ludicrously hard. I've been doing it for several weeks now, and it doesn't get any easier.
