Cool Enough for Flight
This White-winged dove has just finished frolicking around in the water dish, cooling off on another triple-digit southern Arizona day. We've had temperatures over 100º/ 37.8º every day this month, with no break in sight.
I've only had the dish out for about about a month. It has taken the birds a while to find it. Now it's hard to keep it full because the water evaporates so quickly in the blazing sun and low humidity.
