John the Bricklayer

Today was fine enough to allow the bricklayer to start making our new fence. I am surprised at how smoothly this little project has gone. The bricklayer's name is John and his labourer is also John, I only even need to remember one name! All to easy. :)

John and John won't be here tomorrow but, depending on the weather, they should be finished on Monday. Whilst it is not a large job there is a lot of setting out.

The other thing that happened today was I bottled my 'Chimay' home brew. Chimay is a Trappist Monks beer. I had no success after two attempts to extract the yeast from the commercially available brew (as blipped) so I used a normal wheat ale yeast to kick things off then added a Champaign yeast to finish the fermentation as it gets to around 9.5% alcohol. It tasted good even when flat prior to bottling.
