Ready for the Festival procession Costa Rica
Don't they look happy!
We drove almost from one side of Costa Rica (Tortuguero on the Caribbean side, to Monteverdi) We passed this town with the streets lined with people and groups some in uniforms others just there to watch. Everyone was in festive mood. Food stalls and every few metres it seemed that there was another boom box i.e. large speakers pumping out music that made me want to dance. We were told the parade was meant to have started at 9 and it was nearer 12 when we passed thru. I think they may have been waiting for a group. We only stayed a few minutes but I would have loved to have more time to enjoyed the atmosphere. However we had a particularly long day to get to Mondeverdi The last 30 or so Kilometers were really bad i.e. worse than the bad ski roads here in NZ . There were some large angular 20cm sized stones that we bumped over and had to be taken slowly.
Not sure exactly which town this is in Costa Rica
