Pretty fingers

Chris isn't keen on Foxgloves and I can't deny that they come up all over the place but I love them, especially the ones that are slightly different and you can never tell where they are going to appear.

This one is coming up amongst the leaves of the purple 'Susan' Magnolia. I love the speckles inside the 'fingers' and how the colour shades from darker to lighter up the stem of flowers.

No idea where it came from. I did buy some different varieties a couple of years ago including a pale yellow and a dusky pink. This is neither and not in the place where those flowered. We have had a white one in the front garden this year too.

It's part of the fun finding out what they will be like when they open.
