Buttercups
We have a beautiful day here, warm and sunny at last. This is known locally as the donkey field, but it's been a long time since there have been donkeys or horses in it. This field is a continuation of Cairnhill Woods which my garden backs onto. For years it's been left in a fairly natural state but in the past few years a group has started up and there's been a lot of changes. Funding has been found to upgrade the paths (how did we manage before?) and recently some chainsaw sculptures have been created. It's a beautiful public space and we're very fortunate to have free access to it. You can see in the blip that the field hasn't had the grass cut this year, good decision, imagine cutting down all that beautiful wild grass and flowers.
