Projects, projects, projects
Today was time to get to grips with soldering lead for the repair of the stained glass window - see earlier blip. As I was uncertain how to start so I talked to Michael-Next-Door, who just happened to have a selection of soldering irons, fluxes, solder, lead, wire brushes and files. Not only that, he also has extensive experience of all things solder, weld and metalwork, which is just fantastic!
So, lesson 1 completed, I shall now make an alternative stained glass window to fit in the door whilst the existing window is repaired. I should have acquired a few skills, I hope, by the time of the repair. I'm hoping optimism & enthusiasm are not outstripping skill levels.
