Another day in the 'Gill. A really nice day actually. I've had a great weekend with Dr Lizi.

This image taken on Oreti Beach where Burt Munro of World's Fastest Indian fame used to test his world land speed record breaking bikes in beach races. The historical significance of this didn't occur to me as I sanpped a shot of kids riding past on a motorbike - in fact it din't occur to me until I started writing this entry...

I had planned to write about the Rolling Stones getting it wrong (Mick Jagger apparently once referred to it as "the asshole of the world" after their audience there pelted them with mince pies and beer bottles), I quite enjoyed Invergiggle. Mind you, I had Dr Lizi to visit with and no beer or mince pies.
