Not a water lily
This arum lily, actually Zantedeschia aethiopica, is native to southern & east Africa, but survives here growing in 18" of water in the Round Pond. It will grow in damp soil but with the root under water it's protected from frost.
We also grow a form called 'Mr Martin', which us supposed to be larger, but it looks much the same to me!
