After craft club this afternoon I started to take some photos of the poppies in the church garden when 2 men came through the gates. "Can I help you?" - they introduced themselves and one I knew a little from another church, the other I knew quite well but hadn't seen for years.
The latter was visiting from abroad and going round his old haunts so I took them in to see how the church had changed since he was there before, and catch up on family news. It was a really nice surprise.
When they'd gone I took up the challenge of taking photos of a poppy on a breezy day, this, I think, is the best.
