Now an Island, Isle de Ogoz
In the Lake of Gruyère (yes, where the cheese comes from) there are the remains of a village and chapel dating back to the 13th century. It was flooded in 1947 when the valley became a reservoir. We kayaked around it today but at low water you can walk across to the island. We shall go back in the autumn when the trees will be more beautiful.
Large to see the towers of the old fortification in more detail.
Thanks so much for sending yesterday's butterfly flying into the spotlight.
