bucks life

A bright day

I saw the HR lady again today. Things will move forward, informally for now, later this week.

I had to deal with an annoying email from someone who has overreacted to a situation with a colleague and that took over my morning rather.

At lunchtime I changed and then went out for a lovely warm, solitary walk with my sandals, camera and stick along one side of Ravensthorpe reservoir to the dam and back, even spotting a couple of potential swimming places but as it's not allowed I won't! There were at least four fishing boats out on the water. I wished I could have been in one of those boats, it looked so calm and peaceful.

I practised loads of manual shots with the long lens. (I realised before I left the office that I had once again forgotten my memory card so I invested in another one for emergency use. What's the betting that I'll manage to leave them both at home soon...) It was hard to pick just one for the day but this is it. The pair of swans on the bank were most obliging, posing and preening thoroughly for at least half an hour. I'll definitely be going there again for a walk and photos.

The head shrink was OK but I've got a break for two weeks now. He is being very supportive.

At home, I delivered the parish mag up the street and caught up with a neighbour in her beautiful garden for a brief chat. After dinner, I've been dumping tons of unwanted photos. Oh and it turns out the jammy lodger won a tenner on the duck race. Given that I've never won anything and he won £40 last year it's beginning to get annoying!
