pink evening

Lovely pink sky tonight just as we were finishing church house group at our place. At the same time I noticed our first bumble bee buzzing the wall of the building. We've had them arriving every June for a few years now. Around dusk the numbers seem to multiply and we have to whizz round shutting windows. We had one come in the bedroom the other year and it was a pain to catch and let it go. They are very large, plump, and reddish brown all over. I think they are some kind of masonry bee. We wondered if the building work last year may have filled up all their holes.
