Tattered.......

...........Petals


I was surprised to find this slightly tatty flower at the base of the potted chrysanthemum plant.

Drops of water from rain yesterday and overnight still adorn the petals.

Several of the delicate petals have suffered self inflicted wounds, but overall, the flower is a welcome sight at this time of the year.
