I am just learning to really identify mushrooms. I have a connection who I can text pictures to for confirmation. He complimented me on this Pheasant Tail. I found it in my office car park tonight.
The weather here has been warm, & wet with cooler nights & mornings. It's more of an Irish summer than an American one although, technically it is not quite summer yet.
I brought the mushroom home, cleaned it, cut it up and fried it in butter in a cast iron pan. It was delicious, similar texture to fried calamari but full of mushroom flavour.
