~ Cedar Waxwing ~
Tonight Layla and Lexi performed in their end of the year choir concert. They sang like angels....
After the performance I went for a walk and spotted this Cedar Waxwing up in the tree. It's not the best picture but in case I don't see one again I decided to post it. I'm hoping to get a picture of most of our local birds this summer.
The Cedar Waxwing has a Silky-brown head, back grade into gray rump. Black mask, chin, yellow belly, white undertail. Plain gray wing with waxy red spots. Blackish square, short tail with a yellow tip.
They eat mostly small fruits but often flycatches during the summer.
Emilie update: She went to the Dr. today and has a bad case of strep throat.
