Awesome

This enormous mushroom is growing under a gum tree in the middle of an intersection between our house and the post office. It's easily visible from the road, as was I when I went to get an image.

Picture this: an "older" woman, lying prone in the dust and dirt - cars flashing by, road workers laughing their socks off, and passersby goggle eyed in amazement, as I took a few images.

Worth it though. I never minded making a fool of myself in a good cause.

It's about 6 inches across and 6 inches high.

I know nothing about mushrooms, but this is a real beauty.
