Quelle Surprise!

A knock at the door from the postman and a wonderful surprise! Our first gift in the post for the baby has come all the way from France from an old family friend.
My Mum met Maryse on a French exchange when she was 13. They remained friends ever since and see each other every summer. Growing up we spent most of our summers in France with Maryse and her family and I have very fond memories of our times together. This year they will be meeting up in France as usual but celebrating 50 years of friendship together! How special :-)

In true French style the presents are wrapped beautifully and sit waiting to be opened when baby arrives...
