Salt

"But Lot’s wife looked back, and she became a pillar of salt." Genesis 19:26

Today we went for dinner at a friend's house, the dinner was very tasty. The picture is of their salt shaker which amused me!!

The Bible verse today talk's about Lot's wife becoming a pillar of salt. Lot and his wife lived in Sodom and Gomorrah which was a very sinful place and about to be destroyed by God for their sin. However, Lot took in some men, or angels, who had come to the city. and offered them somewhere to stay for the night. Lot also stood up for these men when the other city fol wanted to include them in their sin. God spared Lot and his family and they were instructed to run without looking back. Lot's wife looked back and became a pillar of salt. It is unclear why, the Bible does not tell us, there are a few theories about why around, I'll let you look them up for yourselves if you are interested. But the important thing to take away from this is when you give your life to God, and you are given a second chance, do not look back, run form your sinful ways and anything that will lead you into sin...
