What have I done to the lavender? Too much water? Too little? Help.

And the bug spreads to me while we are without a bathroom.... I watched a documentary about various children growing up around Brazil, some on landfill sites, and felt deeply ashamed of moaning about a few days without my luxury freestanding bath.
