Many hands make light work..
Thanks to twitter, I was reminded that today was the last day I could visit the Great Tapestry of Scotland, in its temporary home in Paisley.
The Great Tapestry - 159 panels, 100 stitchers, 300 miles of wool. What a wonderful collective effort and something the stitchers the length and breadth of the country should be justly proud of.
I work in schools and know what that collective feeling - that feeling of everyone pulling together, heading in the same direction - feels like. Even when me, or someone else, steers the wrong way, the weight of the collective helps to pull us back together, on course.
Two of my favourite things from the tapestry...
My blip of my fellow Greenockian, James Watt. And the best ever name for a bunch of avid stitchers - the blister sisters.
Go see it if you can - it's pure magic.
Today outof10? A creative and inspiring 8.7 ❤️
